CINV likelihood from chemotherapies

The likelihood that a chemotherapy will make you sick is called its emetogenic (eh-meh-tow-JEH-nik) potential. Highly emetogenic chemotherapy is highly likely to cause nausea and vomiting. Moderately emetogenic chemotherapy is likely to cause nausea and vomiting.

For your convenience, ALOXI.com provides a chart that divides all current chemotherapy treatments into five emetic categories ranging from those that rarely cause nausea and vomiting to those that are highly likely. This information may help you better understand what to expect from your treatment, or you may wish to share it with your doctor or nurse during your next appointment.

Click the button below to download and view the chart.

You will need Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® to view the sheet.
