Perception vs Reality

Incidence of CINV Following MEC Underestimated1

  • Practitioner perception of CINV was less than actually experienced by patients.
  • Despite standard antiemetic treatment (5-HT3 plus corticosteroid; not including ALOXI®), CINV was shown to still be a significant clinical problem.

Patient CINV experience

All patients received a 5-HT3 antagonist (not including Aloxi); 84% received a corticosteroid.
