Preventing CINV from the start…

So much to think about when you're facing cancer. Many appointments and schedules to keep track of. You may also worry about feeling nauseous from chemotherapy. If not prevented, approximately 70-80% of all patients receiving chemotherapy may experience chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting, also known as CINV.

ALOXI® is here to help. ALOXI (Ah-LOCK-see) is an antinausea medication for patients who may develop chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). A single dose of ALOXI may help prevent nausea and vomiting on the day of chemotherapy that is highly likely to cause nausea and vomiting, and up to 5 days following chemotherapy that is moderately likely to cause nausea and vomiting. Before you begin chemotherapy, ask your doctor about ALOXI.

Indication

ALOXI is used in adults to help prevent the nausea and vomiting that can happen on the day of treatment with certain chemotherapies or occur days later following chemotherapies moderately likely to cause nausea and vomiting.

Important Safety Information

  • Tell your healthcare professional if you are taking other medications or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • The most common side effects of ALOXI® for the prevention of CINV are headache and constipation
